ThisisbecausetheoutputsoftheInterlockarelatched,anditisgenerallyconsidered
poorprogrammingtodrivemomentaryfunctions(suchasarelaycommand)witha
latchingsignal,eventhoughinsomecasesitmaywork corr
ectly.Sincewehave
momentarysignalsalreadyontheinputsideofthesymbol,itis“cleaner”tousetheseto
drivetherelays.
WehaveseenhowtheIn
terlockandTogglesymbolsareeventdriven; thatis,whenan
event(arisingedgetransition,forexample)occursthesymboldrivesitsoutputsignals
totheappropriatelevels.Sometimesthisisnotsufficient,however,andyouneedto
